Those cases lead people to believe that sexual violence is inevitable when in fact (as we clearly know) there are many, many things people can do every day to prevent someone from sexually abusing someone else. What is unique about this video is that it highlights how "normal" sexual assault can be. The guy is not a monster sex offender hiding in the bushes waiting to jump out and snatch a woman (though clearly he is in the wrong and should be told/taught/treated/etc). This video is hard to watch and incredibly important in demonstrating what people can do. Scratch that; what people SHOULD do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770341086445997547.post-46606099483989605132011-08-27T11:02:14.760+12:002011-08-27T11:02:14.760+12:00To be honest I wasn't that into the campaign a...To be honest I wasn't that into the campaign ad when I first saw it. Sorry to be so coy but this is a tricky thing to be managing.LudditeJournohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13154447284268192467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8770341086445997547.post-65597666703707290662011-08-16T20:46:11.778+12:002011-08-16T20:46:11.778+12:00Will any of the adds feature GLBTQI people? Having read Thomas Millar's popularisation of Lisak and co's research I could absolutely see how strongly that research informed the ad (particularly in its depiction of alcohol, but also the whole approach). I'm currently drafting a post with my reasons for supporting htis and it's great to read your perspective.Maiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17212711843307060731noreply@blogger.com
