Feminist Event: Margaret Wilson at next Auckland Drinking Liberally

If you're in Auckland on the 24th you would be most welcome to come along to the below (readers resident in Palmerston North should scroll down to the end for news of your next Drinking Liberally event).

What: Drinking Liberally Auckland City
Who: You and any of your left-leaning companeros

When: 7.30pm, Wednesday 24th September
Where: London Bar, cnr Wellesley & Queen Sts (opposite Civic). The entrance to the bar is around on Wellesley St, you need to go up the stairs and we will probably be congregating at the far end by the stage, fiddling with the sounds.

With: Margaret Wilson - first female Speaker of the House, one of the architect's of the Employment Relations Act, at the sharp end of the Labour party for quite some time indeed. Margaret intends to talk about her 30 years of political activism, and as this is her last week as Speaker before retiring as an MP she may be refreshingly frank!

Cost: Free, just need to keep yourself fed and watered.
