Dredging up some vague recollections from my abandoned law studies, I seem to recall that in the USA they do orally use "versus", whereas in NZ and the UK we write "vs" and say "and". But I could be wrong...

In the USA they definitely say 'versus'. In fact, I didn't even know we said 'and' in NZ, because the only legal cases I know enough about to namecheck are American ones. :) (Brown v. Board of Education. Roe v. Wade...)

Hm, I always thought the USA used the same naming conventions as other Common law jurisdictions. My apologies to the presenter (like she cares what I think)
