Thanks for the linky love, Julie. I got this, shall we say, interesting e-mail response to my cake post.
I came to your site refreshed to find someone who likes Christmas cakes. I left with a sour taste in my mouth when I realized you were just another diatribe-filled Hellenistic feminist. Feminists are alot like tattoos. Nobody knows what they are for, they're painful, loud, every crowd has one and in 20 years you'll be wrinkled and ruined. cheers!
Sigh...
Hellenistic?
Yeah.... hellenistic. Anyone care to offer a possible interpretation?
Oh OK, this is not some well known term which I should be ashamed of for not knowing, then.
Generally Hellenistic with the double 'l' implies an allusion to Greece?
A (mispelt) reference to our outgoing PM?
That's an interesting bit of feedback. I recently heard the phrase 'knitting with one needle' - sums it up nicely.
I know at least one or two tattooed people who'd disagree with that person's opinion of tattoos. They're actually works of art which symbolise very important times in the wearer's life. Though that definition doesn't readily lend itself to the idea of feminism...
On a different topic, I was pretty amazed at how makeup can turn a 10-year-old into a Pamela-Anderson lookalike.
