Monday Funday: with delusion

Because the last week has been too much about what women look like and not enough about what have actually said or done.

From the amazingly wonderful Jacky Fleming.

The thing that bemuses me about remarks like those of Brian (and Paul Henry) is their assumption that they're sexy enough to be in a position to pass judgement on other people's looks. Maybe she doesn't want 'one', Brian...

I don't know about this; If we couldn't escape into our fantasies every now and then, life would be soul crushing for a lot of people.

'Brian' probably already knows what he doesn't want to be reminded of.

She probably wouldn't even give him the time of day if he spoke to her, so why shouldn't he completely disregard that aspect of reality.

Of course there are some people who let their delusions get the better of them - but they typically don't stand around with their mate saying "I could give her one" - they go right in with a sense of entitlement, (and sometimes come out with inexplicable success).

Brian's just stating what anyone else who isn't a hypocrite thinks when they see a particuly arousing other.....

Are we going to punish thought crime now...?

Oh wait...we already are....

Huh. I generally think 'gosh, he/she's very attractive' not 'I'd give him/her one'.

Subject not object, which is the whole point.
