Baking addict

I've finally scaled the height of cake geekery, a tiered cake. Rather than go for something frou-frou with lots of flowers I went on a fondant overload.



The child has dubbed it the 'glass slipper' cake.

What fondant did you use? Homemade? Shopbought? I haven't used fondant before but I really want to try marshmallow fondant... but I'm nervous!

I use the pettinice brand which you can pick up at most supermarkets. Make sure that it is well kneaded and that you rub down whatever shortening on whatever surface you are rolling it out onto.
