No Such Thing as a "Muslim Woman"
This variety is why there really is no such creature as "a Muslim woman" - it's an overly general category. There are Afghani Muslim women from impoverished, refugee camps, aristocratic Iranian Muslim women Shakespearean scholars, American Muslim women soccer moms, Klingon Muslim women aboard the Starship Enterprise, and so on. I myself am a Klingon.

thanx so much for posting this deborah. it's so frustrating to be boxed into a generic "other" frame of reference and can be unnecessarily restricting at times. mostly, i don't want to be a label, i just want to be me.
I'm glad you like it. I loved it when I found it, especially the sheer joy of declaring herself to be a Klingon. I've got another piece from her to quote sometime.
