Strange adventures in Christmas icing

IMAGE:  A group of chocolate cupcakes with white icing on top, then reindeer heads, with pretzels to each side of the head to represent antlers.

I'm not sure about mixing pretzels with the sweet sweet goodness of cupcakes...  Has anyone tried it, or a similar arrangement?

Chocolate-dipped pretzels are a popular snack in America, at least judging by the amount of space they get on the supermarket shelf. It's part of their whole sugar-makes-everything-better approach to cookery.

Sweet and salty is often mixed in US cuisine, not least when it comes to fries with tomato sauce and coke :)

Those reindeer look like they're sinking away in the snow. A bit distressing! :)

When I was in the states I loved chocolate pretzels, and was also shown the epic technique of putting peanut m&ms into my popcorn at the movie. I am STILL hopelessly addicted to this! :)
