A good news story

On Sunday I missed the bus so I walked from Richardson Rd in Hillsborough to Onehunga. It was a pleasant enough walk, although my shoes weren't quite sensible enough. Rain threatened the whole time, and did sprinkle me on the odd occasion but it was more refreshing than wettening. And then a complete stranger in a bright yellow car offered me a lift. What a nice woman!

I turned her down because I needed the exercise, but I just thought I might share it because so often I feel like I get a bit bogged down in the bad stuff we humans do to each other, and it's nice to let other people know when it's the reverse instead :-)

Isn't today Random Act of Kindness Day? Or was it yesterday?

Apparently it is Random Acts of Kindness Day today, but I didn't know that when I wrote this!

Spooky ;-)

That was nice of her, although I wouldnt except a ride from a stranger, no matter how kind they look.

This happens to me on a fairly regular basis, although only when I'm walking for exercise and thus have to turn it done.

ahhhhh. The unearned privledge of being white. Yes, a great news story deserving of a slot within our mainstream media between 'are kiwi men lacking in style' and 'first gang patch arrest in wanganui' excuse me while a throw up.
