I was saying to my 15 year-old boy just the other day that I miss the baby and toddler that he was. He couldn't understand why until I explained that it was just the same way he felt when saying he wished he could keep our kittens as kittens.

But what you miss is made up for in what is new and different.

Aww that's so lovely! Wriggly will feel so special and loved when he reads that when he's older.

My one-year-old nephew has started putting weird shit like raisins up his nose. I'm amazed at how cute I think that is. I listened to him say DOG on the phone over and over again for about 20 minutes yesterday. And I cried when he said "ANTEE" (Aunty with an Aussie baby accent) for the first time last week.

I don't know what it's like to be a mum but I know it's freakin' awesome to be an aunty.
