Weaving Mana Wahine
Something to go to in Wellington, if you're into art and mana wahine. Hineteiwaiwa is the atua of child birth and te whare pora – the house of learning for weaving and female arts. All four of these artists focus on issues affecting Māori women and whānau. I've had a sneak preview of some of Elizabeth's pieces, and they are beautiful examples of takatāpui images in a variety of medium. See you there.
